Artesy: A Handwritten Font for Business Branding
As a small business owner, I’ve learned that the right font can make all the difference in how your brand is perceived. Whether it’s a bakery box, a skincare label, or a café menu, typography plays a key role in shaping first impressions. That’s why I was excited to test out Artesy, a gorgeous handwritten font designed with the help of a thick, outstanding brush pen. It turned out to be more than just a pretty typeface—it became a vital tool in my branding toolkit.
Artesy for Bakery Packaging and Product Labels
One of the first places I used Artesy was on a bakery’s packaging. The font’s soft, flowing strokes gave the brand a warm, approachable feel that matched the cozy vibe of the shop. It worked especially well for product names and short descriptions, where its elegant yet readable style added personality without overwhelming the design. For a small business, that kind of visual consistency is essential—especially when you’re trying to stand out on a shelf or in an online store.
When working with Artesy, I found it best suited for headlines, titles, and short phrases. Its natural brush strokes give it a handcrafted look, which is perfect for highlighting key details like “Daily Specials” or “Handmade with Love.” But I also noticed that it’s not ideal for long paragraphs—readability drops when text gets too dense. So, I paired it with a clean sans serif font for body copy, creating a balanced look that felt both professional and personal.
Artesy for Skincare Labels and Candle Jars
Another project that benefited from Artesy was a skincare brand’s product labels. The font’s organic flow helped reinforce the brand’s commitment to natural ingredients and artisanal care. It looked great on small labels, where the font’s subtle variations and ligatures added a touch of sophistication without being too flashy.
For candle jars, I used Artesy to create a custom label that included the product name and a brief description. The font’s thickness and fluidity made it stand out on the jar while still feeling cohesive with the rest of the brand’s design elements. It was especially effective when paired with a minimalist layout, where the font could take center stage without competing with other graphics.
Artesy for Café Menus and Online Shop Banners
I also tested Artesy on a café menu, where it brought a sense of warmth and familiarity to the design. It worked well for section headers, such as “Beverages” and “Pastries,” giving each category a clear identity. The font’s legibility at smaller sizes made it a good choice for printed menus, and its unique character helped the café stand out among competitors.
On an online shop banner, Artesy added a personal touch that felt authentic and inviting. It was perfect for headlines like “New Arrivals” or “Limited Edition,” where a little flair can go a long way. When used alongside a modern sans serif font, it created a nice contrast that felt both stylish and easy to read.
Artesy for Boutique Tags and Social Media Graphics
A boutique owner recently asked me to help update her product tags, and Artesy was the perfect fit. Its script-like flow gave each tag a handmade quality that aligned with the brand’s aesthetic. It worked especially well for short phrases like “Handmade in Italy” or “Ethically Made,” where the font’s personality could shine through without being distracting.
For social media graphics, I used Artesy to create eye-catching captions and promotional banners. It added a personal, creative energy that resonated with the brand’s audience. Whether it was for Instagram posts, Facebook ads, or Pinterest pins, the font helped maintain a consistent visual identity across platforms.
